I'm certainly not advocating to OSRS GP ignore or abolish the polling system and it is a helpful instrument in holding the devs. On the other hand, the present polling system doesn't function effectively and necessitates improvements or even more flexibility to meet the requirements of the player base. When 99% of articles is left to decide, I can't agree with all the exaggeration on your article about the continuous disregard of items that are polled. It's important to be aware that the occasions when they have been believed by Jagex had to diverge in the result, it was because they felt forced to by the difficulties with the voting system.
The VLS inclusion is a current and obvious example of the: Jagex poll several minor PvP changes/updates which don't pass and don't believe the community are evaluating the content on merit. This implies Jagex either accept that PvP buffs/content won't ever pass surveys or perform them. Polls either have to be a) pitched to individuals who knowingly participate in or understand that the relevant content( b) taken as strong advisement and not gospel( c) lower threshold, or d) simply earn more integrity adjustments.
While sometimes a developer has overlooked something significant and players may help thembecause it's the players who play Runescape--that the participant base frequently makes quite stupid decisions because they do not actually spend much time considering what a change might do, they do not have any development experience, and they're often quite self-interested. In the instance of OSRS, the players have absolutely vetoed bad ideas multiple times before, but they have also vetoed great thoughts, and also the absolute dumbest ideas aren't the things that get polled, they're the things that have indicated and upvoted right here on the subreddit.
I feel that way also. But I don't mind the notion of giving more control to the OSRS team. Because besides PvP stuff, and a few really dividing upgrades like a ability. I feel like that they have a good deal of freedom to design content anyway. It is not like everything they poll gets shot down. Sounds like more of a reason to maintain the polling system to me. The upgrades that are ordinarily enjoyed will pass. The upgrades a great part of the player base dislike will not pass.
Another thing to think about runescape 2007 gold is because something neglects a survey doesn't mean that they repoll it later and can't rework it. What is great about scenarios like that is that they will get a lot of comments from gamers and adjust the content before adding it to Runescape. As somebody said though, afterward a bunch of players will be marginalized to be Pkers or for needing another skill. Eventually they will become jaded and leave Runescape, which I am sure Jagex does not want. I honestly voted but with voting towards the groups that participate in it and Jagex getting more power. As somebody and a pker who enjoys pvp I think that is my only option.
