Osborne recently announced on LinkedIn that he's decided to leave Jagex after 15 years of content editing along with narrative design and lead design OSRS Gold For Sale. It's a choice he made as he explains, to "test [his] experience in the rest of the sector." Osborne is leaving Jagex and is going straight to Square Enix on the publishing part, as a Senior Designer. He'll oversee "some fantastic games," beginning with Outriders.
This reveal led Redditor FatNWackyRS to contact r/Outriders with a simple message about Mod Osborne who he described as the "warm friendly "Dad" face at Jagex." FatNWackyRS describes all the things Mod Osborne has contributed to the community over his career, including a few videos, including appearing as Mod Elfborne to promote Prifddinas (an Elf City in Runescape), joining livestreams and supporting the company's vision.
Although some communities and gamers might be upset at losing a recognizable company face, FatNWackyRS invited other Runescape players to discuss their experiences. One of the commenters claims that they've been both winners and losers, as someone who plays at both Runescape as well as Outriders. Some were thrilled by this news, even those who hadn't interacted with Osborne prior to this glowing endorsement from one of the Runescape community.
The exact details of what will happen on his portion of Outriders fence is yet to be determined, however Fans are aware that lots of good things are expected to come for the franchise. Outriders' Worldslayer expansion is expected to be revealed this spring . It's scheduled to launch in the coming year and beyond buy rs07 gold. People Can Fly has a many other projects that are in the work--including another game with Square Enix. It is unclear if Osborne is involved in the project, it remains to be seen.
