AA6061 aluminum alloy is the most commonly used aluminum grade in the 6000 series aluminum. Its general characteristics are excellent interface properties, easy coating, high strength, good performance and strong corrosion resistance. Typical uses of 6061 t651 aluminum are aircraft parts, camera parts, couplers, marine accessories and hardware, electronic accessories and joints, trim or various hardware, hinge heads, magnetic heads, brake pistons, hydraulic pistons, electrical accessories, valves and valves components. 6061-t651 aluminum, as a quenched aluminum plate, has its own specific process. The purpose of rolling, quenching, sawing, aging, etc. It is to improve the performance and strength of aluminum plate. Elements: 6061 t651 uses magnesium and silicon as the main alloying elements. 2. Strength: 6061 T651 aluminum is heat treated to obtain medium-high strength grades, providing higher strength than 5XXX series alloys. 3. Machinability: In T651 state, 6061 Aluminum Sheet is easier to process than 5XXX alloy. 4. Formability: 6061 aluminum alloy can form T651 state during cold treatment, or T451 state after tempering. T451 has higher formability than T651. 5. Corrosion resistance: 6061 series aluminum alloy, T651/T652/T6 state, has good corrosion resistance. Compared to 5XXX alloys, 6XXX still exhibits excellent corrosion resistance when exposed to high temperature environments. 6. Weldability: 6061 t651 aluminum plate is easy to weld, and can be used as a suitable filler in either GTA-W or GMA-W case, in the heat-affected zone, the tensile strength of the weld can be reduced to 165- 200MPa. In special cases, post-weld heat treatment can restore some of the lost strength.
