One of the remakes for Live a Live is set to release exclusively on Nintendo Switch in July, while a remake of Dragon Quest III is currently being developed cheap d2r items. There are several other games which could benefit from this look, and it'll be interesting to learn how Square Enix does with HD-2D in the future. While the company has definitely put money into this design, Asano went on to reveal that there is no current "definitive book," and it will be evolving according to the game.
"We don't have anything similar to this. The way the story is told differs in each movie, which means that the HD-2D style will differ slightly every time. When you play Live A Live for example the setting in the prehistoric portion will be different to the sci-fi scene.
Our expression options have expanded thanks to the latest ideas we've come up with. "While it may be prohibitive for certain developers, HD-2D clearly proved to be a draw for many gamers. It is our hope that we will continue to be able to see Square Enix find new ways to expand on the style with a variety of games to be released!
