We initially didn't want to implement this feature since we were afraid it would take us away from our original experience, but the community is eager to see it so we're eager to implement it."


When Patch 2.3. players can now enable an Active Skill bindings bar that will include an additional skills bar over the standard HUD. Players can map up to 16 abilities in this way. And if they decide to enable that Quick Cast Skills option, pressing these buttons will immediately activate the abilities, rather than simply re-mapping them to the right or left mouse buttons.


It's a big change for it, yet it should make Diablo: Resurrected go a long way towards feeling more modern while still staying true to many of Diablo's other unique idiosyncrasies.


Other patches coming in patch 2.3 include an offline mode for console gamers, who can modify the difficulty of the game as if eight more players were playing. Diablo's next update will provide a range of audio, visual and UI enhancements.


The announcement by Blizzard of an PTR in Diablo: Resurrected seems to indicate that additional modifications and updates are in the pipeline. There is no word on how soon the PTR is expected to be made available, but Blizzard confirms that everyone can participate. The first goal of the PTR is to address the ongoing server and database issues that have plagued Diablo since the game's launch. Then Buy D2R Ladder Items, Blizzard writes that they will "share further details regarding Ladder rank play and more new changes coming into Diablo: Resurrected."
