In a game where it can take 100+ hours to achieve the maximum levels, gold WOW WOTLK Classic Gold isn't easy to come by. Moreover, since mounts and bags can be costly, and the increase has also brought about "pay-to-win" debates. The digital version of the game is being offered for sale at $70--which includes a mount to play both Burning Crusade Classic and World of Warcraft with its current expansion, Shadowlands--as well as the character boost, an in game toy and a distinctive World of Warcraft effect for Burning Crusade.

However, players may be the most upset by the news that players would need to pay $35 per character to "clone" the copy of their characters so that it could be played across both WoW Classic servers as well as Burning Crusade Classic servers. The current WoW Classic servers will be automatically updated for Burning Crusade Classic on May 18th with the pre-patch.

There is no cost (other that the regular subscription cost, which covers the option to play WoW Shadowlands, Classic, and Burning Crusade Classic) is needed to play the Burning Crusade, but for players who wish to be able to play two versions of WoW they'll have to pay a $35 cost for cloning. As numerous players have mentioned, the entire Shadowlands expansion costs just 5 dollars more than cloning an existing character, which further demonstrates the amount of money required.

If you look at it all in context, it's an enormous amount for a game that players were drawn to due to its absence of additional paid services and paid cosmetics, and players in the game's community are already complaining that Blizzard is taking the same route with Burning Crusade Classic as it does for Shadowlands along with other recently released expansions. Each of which supported the ability to purchase new mounts, pets, along with other game items as well as services for real cash.

As the renowned WoW creator Asmongold recently commented in a YouTube video released shortly after Blizzard's announcements: "I'm disappointed because I did not think that this would happen...I really didn't expect them to go through a complete 180. I wasn't expecting them to make a shift from not having any microtransactions all in the game or even literally selling you mounts and boosts on the spot, all in the span of a day."

The news comes just as the latest Activision-Blizzard earnings report indicates that the number of active players per cheap WOTLK Gold month has drastically dropped compared to time in the year before. Despite less players, revenue for Blizzard grew 7% year-over-year, in part thanks to players "participation in value added services," i.e. microtransactions.
