This type of quest-based and choice-based gameplay is the first in the Sims series, and WOTLK Gold allows World of Warcraft a lot more like a game of role-playing unlike earlier games of the Sims series. The game will come with an extensive adventure journal, which will keep records of a vast amount of stats and achievements such as how many Relics (a kind of new valuable item) you've collected as well as the number of challenges you've worked through, which locations you've explored, as well as your Sim's "visa points" (which will determine the length of time you're able to stay away from home).
Statistics are extremely important for players on the World of Warcraft team--and apparently to the Sims community as well. There will be tons of statistics to be found. Additionally, there will be a plethora of collectibles that are new, like new seeds, plants and catchable fish for all the pack-rats that are out there.
We watched a live demonstration of a simulation that explored the tomb of Egypt and was stuffed with rubble that needed be removed (and is easier to clear through athletic ability). The rubble contained an opening switch an escalator to a lower floor, however, the pyramid also contained many other chambers adjacent to it that were obscured by the fog of warfare. The chambers could contain treasure chests inside urns that contain precious treasures, dangerous traps, or even dangers.
Our explorer tried to get around a trap that released flames from the floor however, he was unsuccessful. He was able to catch fire, and then making a panicked rush to the nearest water pool and diving into it with a smug leap. After being drenched in the water, our character was affected through"soaked" moodlets "soaked" moodlet (minor situations within World of Warcraft that can either positively or negatively impact your character) and caused him to be immune to flames, which meant the sim was able to safely walk across. Then he went on to a room filled with urns that contained things, but he did not know that there was an unmarked sarcophagus located at the opposite end of the room which a horrifying mummy was able to emerge.
It is possible to find priceless treasures however, you need to avoid the curse of the mummy.
Sims will be attacked by mummies and then drag them into a fight, and unless your sim's an expert in the martial arts (which is a new skill in World of Warcraft), you'll be afflicted with the curse of the mummy. It will kill you within two weeks of gaming time unless you make an appearance at the Sphinx located within the area, and make a case. If you are looking for a more adventurous approach and go all the way, you could stay in an obliterated cheap WOW WOTLK Classic Gold sarcophagus, and then become an actual mummy and cause you to move slower and eventually die if you catch burning.
